First impression watercolor swatches

While I don't typically explore beyond my favorite pigments for watercolor, I have been fortunate enough to receive suggestions for watercolor pigments on different occasions that other artists or enthusiasts have encouraged me to test out. Often among the suggested watercolor pigments I find new favorites to treasure.

As you can probably imagine, I’m extra excited to dive into this collection of watercolor paints! A distant relative (my aunt’s sister’s mother in law?) handed them down to me and she had good taste in art supplies in general so I’m expecting good things in this little round up.

While this video is a little different than what I typically share with you, I hope that you will find it both soothing and relaxing to watch as well as helpful and informative as you consider purchasing or pulling out any of these paints that might be in your collection already!

As a subtitle—I did include some paints that I already owned but were created by a different brand (ex: Sap Green and Burnt Sienna) so that I could compare and contrast the two and decide which I prefer. I rarely keep two of any pigment unless it’s one of my very favorites.
